Back in Ventura

On Saturday we were back out in Ventura to enjoy as much time with my parents as possible before my Dad had to return home. We were also blessed with the opportunity to visit with long-time family friends Tim and Kathi Bramblet who drove out from Calimesa to see the new babies. Thanks for making the trip ~ it was so good to see you guys!

Micah and Josiah spent the afternoon at the park with their Daddies. Getting there was half the fun though!

Skirball Cultural Center

While my Mom and Dad were here we decided to take the boys to the Skirball Cultural Center to see the new Noah's Ark Exhibit. It was so much fun for them ~ they got to touch everything!! We were so impressed with the creativity of the artists to design such a fun and remarkable exhibit.

Who would have thought that food was so much fun to play with. I think they spent the most time cooking food, setting the table and pretending to eat.

A Day in Ventura

We spent a few days in Ventura last week visiting with the Thomas family and their new baby boy. Micah and Josiah had a blast together as you can see from the pictures...

The boys had so much fun playing in Josiah's room. They pulled out all of the hot wheels cars and lined them up on the roads of this rug. According to Micah, all the cars were waiting in line to go the bank, since that is the place you go to get money to go to Disneyland. :)

While were were in Ventura, Ashlyn and I took a little shopping trip to the Camarillo outlet mall. I found these sparkly pink shoes and just couldn't pass them up. She won't be able to wear them for a while, but when she's 3 she'll love the fact that I bought them for her!!

Papa's Here!!

We were very excited to have Papa come visit with us after attending his HAM convention in Ohio. This was Ashlyn's first time meeting her Papa.

Papa and Ashlyn meet for the first time Micah was thrilled to have Papa here for a few days! They had lots of fun wrestling and playing. He even got a new Yaseu hat that matches Papa's.

The weather was beautiful so we spent a morning out at the park. Micah and Papa had fun climbing on the rock wall.

This was a team effort ~ collecting bark to send down the slide.

Micah discovered that it was more fun to have Papa send the bark down the slide while he watched it come down between his legs and then into the basket on the back of his tricycle. He's always looking for new ways to fill things up!
